“New Year, New Me…”
It’s the biggest cliche there is and it’s that time of year when everyone is saying it. It’s the beginning of a new year and everyone is jotting down their list of resolutions (i.e. dieting, going to Church, save more money, blah blah blah…) that will be forgotten in a month (if they even make it that long). Personally, I stopped making a list of new year’s resolutions a long time ago because I didn’t want to work on bettering myself just because it was the beginning of a new year!
Shouldn’t I always want to eat healthier? Shouldn’t I always want to save more money? Shouldn’t I always want to go to Church more? Shouldn’t I always want to do the things that we tell ourselves we should do at the beginning of the year? The answer is … it’s really up to you. If you don’t want to go on that diet, don’t do it. If you don’t really want to save your money (as long as your bills are paid), well that’s your choice. And if you really don’t have the chance to go to Church every Sunday, that doesn’t make you a bad person.
I think we all strive to make ourselves perfect, but I think that as long as you’re happy with whatever you are doing in life, then it’s pretty perfect 😉
So, so long 2016, here’s to a better 2017…
Happy New Year loves,
